Job Description

Vèringer Engineering is looking to hire Principle Process Engineer through in the field of Iron Ore dry and wet beneficiation process for a company that plans to develop the Atomai iron ore mine located 35 km west of the city of Zouerate and 8 km north of the village of F’derik in the Tiris Zemmour area of north-east Mauritania.

The project aims at producing High Grade Direct Reduction Pellets (HGDRP) from magnetite ore containing iron. The mine will be of the open-pit type using conventional mining methods. The project will produce 10 million tons per year of pellets.

Duration of service: 1 year

Workplace: As a basis for teleworking from a European country, and preferably in Bilbao. There is also a requirement to travel to Bilbao to work with the company’s team, to be determined according to the needs of the project.

Responsibilities:

1. Metallurgy and Process design, key equipment selection, and developing operating and maintenance philosophies.
2. Supervising the preparation of FEED process designs and process safety.
3. Ensure cross collaboration with other disciplines to ensure Process team are working as part of the bigger design team.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 15 years of combined operations/commissioning and engineering design experience.
2. Minimum of 10 years of engineering design experience.
3. Demonstrated credentials in process engineering for studies and design.
4. Excellent English written and communication skills.
5. Willing to travel Spain on short-term assignment ranging up to 12-week cycles or long-term assignment for 1 year.
