Job Description

From Vèringer’s Selection Departament we’re looking for a Warehouse Manager who will participate in a FMC project, for an international company located in Dernmark.

Duties and Responsabilities:

  1. As Site Logistic and Material Manager, he/she will be responsible for receiving, storekeeping including maintenance during storage, and dispatching materials and equipment supplied.
  2. He/she will issue requisitions for local purchasing and selects the local suppliers.
  3. He/she will supervise and give instructions to the material jobsite team (Subcontractors).


The main responsibilities of the Site Material Manager include:

Define the material management procedures related to:

  1. Material logistic at site.
  2. Handling of material and storage.
  3. Maintenance during storage.
  4. Stock control and traceability.
  5. Material reporting.
  6. Administration of insurance claims, back charges.
  7. Manage the material staff.
  8. Receive and analyse material expediting status.
  9. Receive and analyse shipping forecast.
  10. Receive handling/storage recommendations.
  11. Prepare storage ground or location.
  12. Receive, administrate and file shipping documents and material certificates.
  13. Co-ordinates when necessary and perform unloading at port/customs operations/inland transportation.
  14. Supervise consignment checks for external visible or suspected damages.
  15. Issue OSDs and transport insurance claim notifications.
  16. Notify site management of material delivery.
  17. Supervise quantity check and conformity with packing list/purchase order and material requisition.
  18. Supervise checking of the conditions of the goods received.
  19. Supervise verification, with discipline supervisors, of suspected material discrepancies.
  20. Confirm letters of reserves for insurance claims.
  21. Supervise storage and preserve material as required.
  22. Supervise verification of material identification versus material certificate and colour coding.
  23. Enter material into stock.
  24. Spot check quantities against stock records.
  25. Transfer each material arriving on site to concerned Subcontractor and obtain signature of the concerned receipt voucher and keep the original in file.
  26. Ensure the transportation of all packing material, cable drums, containers, etc. required to be returned to suppliers.
  27. Operate the software for Material Management on Site (SP Mat).
  28. Notify the Construction Subcontractors, after co-ordinating with the discipline supervisors and construction manager, when material is ready for collection.
  29. Optimise at the beginning of piping fabrication and erection the use of available piping material in order to enable a smooth work load to the Construction Subcontractors.
  30. Issue Deficiency Notices and NCR as necessary.
  31. Maintain awareness of laws, commercial conditions and local customs that have been on the procurement requirement of the company.


  1. More than 10 years on Construction sites.
  2. Professional English.
  3. Strong Knowledge of Equipment and Materials (Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation).
  4. Microsoft Office & SmartPlant Materials.
